Choosing a theme for your baby nursery is the hardest part of the nursery process (unless you're painting while 8 months preggo... that's probably a little harder!). After all, you and your little one will be spending countless hours and many sleepless nights in there. We selected a Colorado theme for Conor's room after a recent trip to Aspen and I subsequently spent hours on Pinterest looking for painted mountain murals for the wall and other decor ideas to make it the perfect space. Before I designed my nursery (which I will share photos of on our blog eventually), I wish I would have seen Kristy Drake's Glacier National Park themed baby nursery!
Our client Kristy chose a Glacier National Park theme for her son Deacon's baby nursery. This little boy's room is complete with a mountain mural, deer antler mobile, soft color pallet, faux fur rug, and of course a faux moose head (named Morty). Her attention to detail is evident in the gallery wall of rustic wood shelves, dream catcher, bear sign, and letter "D". She also handmade a quilt for her son - a keepsake he will have forever. Anyone who quilts knows how much time they take to make, so she is one devoted mama! Her husband handmade some of the beautiful rustic furniture for a truly one-of-a-kind look. This family did not slack on Deacon's nursery even though he is their third child - he is one lucky boy!
